Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements and derive software design and performance requirements.
- Design, develop, modify, debug, and integrate software systems and components using Python and other technologies.
- Develop database queries, repository interfaces, algorithms, and software solutions for complex systems.
- Review and test software components, execute test procedures, document results, and perform quality control.
- Resolve software problem reports, correct defects, improve performance, and adapt software to new environments.
- Develop and review software and system documentation and recommend process and documentation improvements.
- Confer with users, system engineers, and hardware engineers to define requirements, interfaces, limitations, and performance needs.
- Coordinate software installation and monitor equipment functioning against operational specifications.
- Serve as a team lead and oversee one or more software development teams when appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, with four additional years of similar software engineering experience accepted as a substitute.
- TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph is required.
- At least four years of IT application systems experience in technology solutions delivery.
- At least two years developing and customizing core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.
- Experience with Python is required; experience with AWS, Docker, and Terraform is ideal.
- Preferred experience includes PostgreSQL, JHipster, and Git.
- Ability to work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, databases, software design methodologies, algorithms, and system integration.
