Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to large cross-functional software projects that drive business success.
- Own features or systems and define their long-term technical health with scalability in mind.
- Build and operate services for availability, performance, and scalability.
- Assist operations and business teams with triaging and resolving production issues.
- Collaborate with engineers across teams and review code.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of industry software engineering experience developing and operating complex systems using languages such as Java or Go.
- Experience with distributed systems and making technical architecture decisions.
- Familiarity with the full software development life cycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex topics to engineers, designers, product managers, and support teams.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, threading, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
