Base Salary
$113k - $203k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research adversarial techniques, emerging vulnerabilities, and detection and response strategies.
- Conduct network, application, and system security assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Assist with designing and deploying security risk-mitigation controls.
- Perform compliance and policy-based investigations of internal systems.
- Document security guidelines, procedures, and policies with emphasis on NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171.
- Provide security guidance and consultation to Akamai business units and engineering organizations.
- Use emerging AI capabilities to improve processes and automation.
- Develop scripts and tools supporting security assessments and mitigation activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree.
- Proven experience with network security analysis or intrusion management.
- Experience identifying and mitigating malware and vulnerabilities.
- Experience identifying software and application compromises and vulnerabilities.
- Experience with secure deployment and use of infrastructure-as-a-service.
- Experience working in a FedRAMP and/or CMMC certified environment.
