Base Salary

$159k - $259k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed architecture deliverables to solve business problems.
  • Design application technical infrastructure, including databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.
  • Define spatial-reasoning architecture for terrain, reach, machine footprint, task and motion planning, implement planning, VLA, and behavior generation.
  • Lead evaluation and deployment of technologies that enhance digital technical capabilities.
  • Define architectural roadmaps, standards, interfaces, and technology decision patterns across engineering organizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into digital solutions.

Requirements

  • Progressive career in software engineering and architecture focused on autonomy, motion planning, or robotics at a senior or principal level.
  • Strong experience architecting spatial reasoning and real-time motion planning for physical machines or autonomous vehicles.
  • Experience planning coordinated motion for an actuated implement or manipulator, such as an excavator bucket, dozer blade, boom, or robot arm, is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with spatially grounded VLA, embodied AI, behavior generation, and decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of how planning, controls, and behavior integrate to deliver safe autonomous action.
  • Ability to define architectural patterns, evaluate tradeoffs, establish standards, influence senior leaders, and guide teams through complex design decisions.
  • Strong understanding of Agile SDLC implementation in public cloud environments, including environment management, test automation, peer review, CI/CD, and resource optimization.
  • Strong analytical thinking, application and platform architecture, requirements analysis, target architecture, communication, mentoring, coaching, and persuasion skills.
