Associate Platform Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities
- Implement platform infrastructure abstractions that translate service-team requirements into infrastructure-as-code parameters and production deployments
- Deploy and operate VPCs, compute pools, storage, Kubernetes clusters, and related networking using infrastructure-as-code modules
- Help operate and maintain managed publish/subscribe messaging systems such as Kafka
- Use Cloud Operations infrastructure-as-code modules and provide operational feedback and enhancement requests
- Write production-quality Java code for infrastructure abstractions with security and best practices built in
- Work with senior engineers to design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions and learn operational best practices
Requirements
- Software-engineering fundamentals with Java or similar programming experience
- Basic networking and cloud computing knowledge
- Familiarity with the Linux command line and willingness to learn systems administration
- Interest in large-scale systems, infrastructure reliability, and production operations
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure is preferred
- Exposure to Kubernetes, containerization, or orchestration concepts is preferred
- Familiarity with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools is preferred
- Collaborative engineering environment or internship experience is preferred
