Base Salary
$158k - $266k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead medium-to-large initiatives and scale Docusign’s developer platform.
- Design and optimize secure, scalable systems using queueing architectures, SQL storage, and NoSQL storage.
- Create secure and efficient backend services and AI agents.
- Develop feedback loops for AI agents.
- Guide architectural decisions and provide technical mentorship to engineering teams.
- Work with customers and internal teams to understand needs and iterate on solutions.
- Participate in rotational on-call, incident response, cross-team coordination, code reviews, automated unit testing, CI/CD, and version control.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 8+ years of software development experience focused on cloud platforms and large-scale systems.
- Experience with Azure services, queueing systems, SQL databases such as Azure SQL Database and SQL Server, and NoSQL solutions such as Cosmos DB.
- Experience with Node.js, C#, Java, C++, or Go.
- Experience building AI agents and performing prompt engineering.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools, including LLMs for coding assistance and code generation.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, microservices architecture, and APIs at scale.
- Experience with object-oriented methodologies and design patterns.
- Preferred: experience with high-scale, highly available systems and 3+ years building complex, scalable applications.
- Preferred: familiarity with Node.js technology stacks, databases, microservice architecture, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
Benefits
- Hybrid work arrangement requiring at least two days per week in an office, with weekly in-office expectations.
- California base salary of $164,700.00-$266,000.00 or base salary of $158,300.00-$232,575.00 in Washington, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York, depending on location.
