Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy system software.
- Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems throughout the lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
- Design and implement Microsoft Windows desktop software from requirements to deployment.
- Participate in architecture and requirements reviews and conduct peer reviews of work products.
- Review code and designs and estimate software development tasks and resource requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and a minimum of five years of embedded software engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience designing embedded systems with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems such as VxWorks or Green Hills.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
- Knowledge of IBM Rational DOORS, operating-system coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.
- Experience developing software requirements specifications and software documentation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
- Preferred: electronic warfare self-protection systems knowledge, systems or networking programming experience, C# and WinForms familiarity, verification and validation experience, software security knowledge, and DO-178C knowledge.
