Software Engineer, Space Systems Test

Responsibilities
- Architect and develop cloud-based software for automated space-system test execution, data collection, analysis, remote monitoring, and fleet-level reporting.
- Design and build automated test platforms for hardware modules, buses, payloads, and complete space vehicle systems.
- Develop test reporting, logging, metrics, and analysis capabilities to support investigation, debugging, monitoring, and anomaly resolution.
- Integrate test software with satellite hardware, software, and firmware in collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers.
- Integrate test software across teams and define testing, verification, and validation strategies.
Requirements
- Strong engineering background from industry or school in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying automated test software and systems architecture for complex hardware, ideally in aerospace or robotics.
- Experience with cloud-based development, infrastructure, and data analysis tools.
- Ability to design extensible, maintainable, and resilient software platforms and solve complex technical problems with little oversight.
- Programming proficiency in Python, C/C++, or similar languages.
- Clear communication and organizational skills, including technical documentation and training material.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred: advanced expertise with Python, Go, Rust, or C++; Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Helm deployment experience; distributed systems or microservices experience; sensor and data acquisition software interface experience; and FlatSat or Hardware-in-the-Loop testing and validation experience.
