Responsibilities
- Develop low-level firmware and software for microcontroller platforms, robots, and commercial-off-the-shelf data-acquisition tools.
- Build host/client verification and automated manufacturing-test systems for form, fit, and function.
- Create device-side validation capabilities using SSH, gRPC, and existing or new debugging tools.
- Debug electrical, firmware, and software issues and translate solutions into automated tests and production failure-analysis procedures.
- Improve test automation, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics.
- Participate in DFT/DFM reviews with electrical engineering and product firmware teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong C coding ability for embedded systems.
- Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensors.
- Experience developing firmware in bare-metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux environments.
- Understanding and application of coding best practices, board bring-up, and debugging.
- Familiarity with USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, and Ethernet bus protocols.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred: 10+ years of relevant experience, bring-up and debugging expertise, low- and high-speed interface experience, data-acquisition and analysis fundamentals, microcontroller-core experience, embedded Linux deployment experience, and debugging with JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
