Base Salary

$114k - $171k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide architectural vision, strategy, planning, and problem-solving solutions for assigned IT systems and Internet applications.
  • Design solution architecture for cloud-native applications and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture blueprints.
  • Select project technology stacks and perform project architecture and cloud architecture reviews, including CART reviews.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions for business and engineering teams.
  • Guide vendors in assessing technology and aligning product roadmaps with Citi requirements.
  • Provide thought leadership, technical direction, and strategic technology recommendations.
  • Maintain awareness of business, technical, infrastructure, risk, compliance, and regulatory considerations.
  • Support end-to-end project outcomes, including budgeting, policy formulation, and future-state technology strategies.
  • Collaborate hands-on with backend systems, web applications, databases, middleware, cloud platforms, and containerized environments.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on technical experience in software development with strong backend programming and system design skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, TIBCO, Python, AI/ML, or COBOL.
  • Deep expertise in backend technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Python 3.x, FastAPI, Flask, Django, C#, or Node.js.
  • Strong proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with relational databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and transaction management.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or Redis.
  • Experience with middleware including Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, TIBCO, or MuleSoft, as well as MOM and ESB integration patterns.
  • Experience designing RESTful APIs, including versioning, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and microservices communication.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps for automated testing and deployment pipelines.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and experience deploying cloud-based applications.
  • Experience with Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Amazon EKS.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, configuration management, continuous delivery, security, encryption, authentication, authorization, and financial-services compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Git, monitoring and logging tools, and application reliability and performance practices.
  • Bachelor’s or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, independent-working, learning, and prioritization skills.
  • Eagerness to learn credit card domains such as payment processing, fraud detection, customer management, and regulatory compliance.

Benefits

  • Primary location is Jacksonville, Florida, United States, with a full-time work schedule.
  • Salary range is $113,840.00-$170,760.00, with potentially additional discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
