Responsibilities
- Build AI infrastructure and agentic workflows that improve engineer productivity across Verkada.
- Design asynchronous AI agent systems while balancing security, cost, and usability.
- Create evaluation frameworks to measure agent performance.
- Define the Developer AI roadmap and lead planning.
- Integrate AI tooling with Verkada’s monorepo and developer workflows.
- Partner with security, product, and infrastructure teams to launch and support services.
- Document and teach AI best practices to engineers.
- Help grow the Developer AI team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proven experience shipping production systems, including agentic or automation-heavy workflows.
- Strong hands-on coding ability in Go and Python.
- Experience building systems that interact with APIs, tools, and external services.
- Ability to define metrics and rigorously evaluate system performance.
- Experience writing clear technical design documents and driving alignment.
- Preferred experience with agent frameworks, orchestration systems, monorepo environments, developer productivity tools, or startup and early-stage teams.
