Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable Kubernetes-based application hosting infrastructure in GCP.
- Implement infrastructure as code and automate infrastructure and operational processes.
- Monitor system performance, optimize resources, integrate cloud services, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and develop scalable build systems for application delivery.
- Apply security best practices, support compliance, and implement incident response and CVE remediation processes.
- Gather requirements for platform improvements, support internal platform users, and provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Analyze cloud spending, implement financial governance, identify cost savings, and remove unused resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Crossplane.
- At least 5 years of experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate certification or equivalent certification.
- Knowledge of service mesh architectures such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security practices and tools.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure cost management tools.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives that improve platform usability and performance based on user feedback.
- Experience with Elasticsearch is preferred.
