Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale enterprise applications and integrations for the Payments and Cards team.
- Drive complex technical solutioning and provide application design and technical ownership for new and existing integrations.
- Build Java microservices using Spring Boot and develop full-stack functionality with React and Node.js.
- Deploy and promote code across pre-production environments using CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Troubleshoot and triage production and pre-production issues and keep development environments operational.
- Develop and deploy applications on container and server platforms using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases and messaging technologies.
- Contribute to engineering best practices and resolve quality and vulnerability issues identified by automated tools or quality teams.
- Create software documentation, provide deployment support, and hand off applications to application support teams.
- Collaborate with quality, business, payments, cross-functional, and application-support partners.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience building enterprise applications.
- Advanced proficiency in Java 11 or later, Spring/Spring Boot, databases and SQL/RDBMS, and microservices.
- Intermediate proficiency in React/Node.js, DevOps/CI/CD, Kubernetes/containerization, and Linux/Unix.
- Advanced knowledge of Java design patterns, SOLID principles, and integration patterns.
- Required experience with MQ/JMS/Kafka/messaging.
- Preferred experience with Appian and AWS.
- Payments domain, cards processing, banking, and payment card industry experience are advantageous.
- Strong technical communication and written and verbal communication skills.
