Base Salary
$153k - $192k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain core cloud-native platform services using the Kubernetes control plane.
- Develop robust Ruby, Java, or Go microservices using Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and Redis across Azure and AWS clusters.
- Own the full development lifecycle, including deployment strategies, observability, production reliability, and critical issue resolution.
- Enhance and manage multi-cluster CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and automation.
- Implement GitOps-based declarative configuration management with ArgoCD or Flux across hybrid and multi-cloud Kubernetes environments.
- Mentor teammates, conduct rigorous code reviews, and drive adoption of Kubernetes security policies, resource optimization, and cloud-native best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience building distributed, scalable software and systems.
- Strong coding skills in Ruby, Java, or Go, including experience building API-based web services.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar database and caching technologies.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture and operations, with familiarity implementing GitOps workflows using tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
- Experience with CI/CD systems, especially Jenkins, and with Azure and AWS at the API or programming level.
- Analytical, debugging, communication, collaboration, and continuous-learning abilities.
- Networking and network security controls experience is a bonus.
- Exposure to platform resiliency practices and incident response is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Terraform, or Pulumi is a bonus.
