
Sr Software Engineer

- Lead architectural and technical design decisions for features, services, and platforms.
- Decompose epics and features into implementation plans and identify technical risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web, mobile, cross-platform, and backend applications.
- Build scalable APIs and event-driven, serverless-first architectures on AWS.
- Implement infrastructure as code, deployment strategies, observability, monitoring, and automated testing.
- Prototype product concepts with Claude, Amazon Bedrock, and other LLM or GenAI platforms.
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for correctness, security, and production readiness.
- Serve as the technical anchor for a small engineering team, coaching engineers and driving accountability.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on design, cloud practices, and AI tool usage.
- Participate in rotational on-call duties outside standard business hours when required.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Full-stack fluency across React and TypeScript, Flutter and Dart, and Python or Node.js.
- At least 2 years of hands-on AWS serverless experience with Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS or SNS, and EventBridge.
- Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and serverless deployment patterns.
- Professional experience rapidly prototyping with AI or GenAI tools.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring small engineering teams.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, context management, and AI tool limitations.
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related experience, or alternative combinations including a master’s degree with 2 years, a Ph.D. with up to 1 year, or 16 years of related experience.
- Preferred experience with Amazon Bedrock, Claude API, other LLM integrations, agentic AI workflows, or multi-agent systems.
- Familiarity with AWS CDK or SAM and an AWS certification such as Solutions Architect or Developer.
