Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data platform infrastructure.
- Implement and optimize analytic query engines using technologies like Trino, Redshift, and BigQuery.
- Design and support robust data management solutions leveraging Apache Iceberg.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineering and Analytics teams for effective integration.
- Develop and maintain observability frameworks for monitoring data pipelines.
- Implement best practices for data modeling and schema design.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across various architectures.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance platform scalability and reliability.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data platform engineering or related roles.
- Deep experience with analytic query engines like Trino, Redshift, and BigQuery.
- Expertise in designing platforms supporting Medalion architecture and schema evolution.
- Solid foundation in automated schema detection and performance optimization.
- Proficiency with cloud-based platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong skills in Python and experience with infrastructure automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities in complex data scenarios.
- Strong communication skills for articulating platform design concepts.
