Base Salary
$190k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Embed with customers to understand workflows, constraints, and success criteria.
- Design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions for operational problems.
- Build and maintain production systems, including APIs, integrations, monitoring, and feedback loops.
- Translate customer and business requirements into technical architectures and implementations.
- Own deployments from initial scoping through launch and iteration.
- Identify patterns across customer deployments and feed insights into product and platform development.
- Partner with Product and Engineering on roadmap, abstractions, and long-term system design.
- Set technical direction and best practices for the FDE team, including code quality, architecture, and deployment rigor.
- Mentor and unblock other FDEs while guiding ambiguous technical and customer tradeoffs.
Requirements
- At least five years of software engineering experience, ideally in forward-deployed engineering or backend/systems-focused work.
- Strong proficiency in Python; TypeScript or JavaScript experience is a plus.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into working, production-ready systems.
- Experience with AI systems such as LLMs, vector databases, prompt engineering, or agent frameworks is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently, take ownership, communicate effectively, and serve as a senior technical voice on a team.
