Responsibilities
- Design and build infrastructure and tooling to diagnose software non-determinism across autonomous driving systems.
- Investigate and resolve non-deterministic execution patterns across Waymo codebases.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in software engineering or a related technical field.
- Strong programming skills in C++.
- Solid foundation in algorithms, data structures, and systems debugging.
- Preferred: experience with statistical data analysis, anomaly detection, or tracing tools.
- Preferred: understanding of concurrency and race conditions, floating-point determinism, and other common sources of software non-determinism.
- Preferred: experience with graph execution frameworks.
