Responsibilities

  • Write clean, tested, maintainable production code using strong engineering practices and AI or agentic development tools.
  • Own features end-to-end from requirements through production in collaboration with Product, Design, and engineering.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, handle validation and errors, and work across frontend, backend, and API components.
  • Write unit tests, conduct code reviews, debug application issues using logs and stack traces, and resolve blockers.
  • Contribute to team-level technical decisions, knowledge sharing, workflow improvements, tooling, and process improvements.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional software development experience writing production code in at least one programming language.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing or integrating RESTful APIs, including CRUD operations, HTTP methods, status codes, validation, and error handling.
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms sufficient to solve easy-to-medium coding problems and explain basic time and space complexity.
  • At least 1 year of experience writing unit tests, using Git for branching and pull requests, conducting code reviews, resolving merge conflicts, and writing SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, input validation, secrets handling, SQL injection risks, and systematic debugging.
  • Preferred: familiarity with layered application architecture, SaaS, microservices, cloud applications, design patterns, scalability, logs and metrics, performance analysis, CI/CD pipelines, AWS, GCP, Azure, authentication, authorization, HTTPS, and secure secrets handling.
  • Preferred: daily experience using AI or agentic development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT, with review of generated code before shipping.
