Responsibilities
- Evaluate legacy testing processes, select modern automation tools, and architect scalable web, API, and mobile testing frameworks.
- Balance automation development with hands-on manual, functional, and exploratory testing.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD workflows for continuous validation and faster defect detection.
- Establish organization-wide QA standards, test data management practices, and framework maintenance guidelines.
- Lead engineering PODs through quality process changes, risk assessments, defect triage, and root-cause analysis.
- Mentor manual QA team members through technical guidance, automation best practices, and code reviews.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of dedicated software quality engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a technical lead or transformation-focused role.
- Proven experience building resilient, maintainable automation frameworks with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO.
- Willingness to perform manual and functional testing while developing long-term automation capabilities.
- Deep expertise testing RESTful and gRPC APIs using automation and tools such as Postman, Swagger, or Charles Proxy.
- Advanced SQL proficiency for backend data validation and experience with Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
- Advanced written and verbal English proficiency for collaboration with executive leadership and US-based clients.
- Preferred experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI; k6, JMeter, or Gatling; Appium or Detox; and Docker.
- Strong ownership, strategic leadership, and cross-functional stakeholder influence skills.
