Responsibilities

  • Join a Scrum team of interns and mentors focused on delivering a summer project.
  • Work with business owners and the UX team to iterate on a design proposal.
  • Implement a production-oriented web solution using Python, Django, and ReactJS.
  • Participate in code reviews and apply software engineering best practices.
  • Write comprehensive tests covering application functionality, including Python unit tests and full-stack web tests.
  • Review the solution with business owners and end users and incorporate their feedback.
  • Deliver the final product through a production deployment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Must not be scheduled to graduate before December of the internship year.
  • Interest in developing and deploying high-performance, data-driven websites.
  • Experience with MVC web frameworks and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Python, or experience in another programming language with a strong desire to learn Python.
  • Familiarity with modern web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Preferred: experience with Linux or UNIX-like systems, Apache, PostgreSQL, ReactJS, Python unit testing, full-stack web testing, or Django.
