Responsibilities

  • Build, prototype, and implement production software features for Sigma’s analytics product.
  • Develop and extend large single-page applications with the user experience in mind.
  • Work on backend systems that scale across multiple customers and billions of data points.
  • Develop automated unit tests, achieve relevant code coverage, and document work with product owners and technical publications teams.
  • Own a development project from ideation through implementation while gathering feedback and customer metrics.
  • Optimize the performance of product components and collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, sales, and users.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a U.S. university undergraduate or graduate degree program, graduating in December 2027 or later.
  • Pursuing at least a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of operating systems, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks in person in San Francisco or New York.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States during Summer 2027.
  • Preferred availability to start full-time in January 2028 or June 2028.

Benefits

  • $50.00 per hour and a relocation bonus where applicable.
  • Summer 2027 internship from June through August or early September 2027, with flexible dates.
  • In-person work in the San Francisco, California or New York, New York office; relocation assistance is provided for students who need to relocate.
  • The internship provides direct mentorship and collaboration with engineering, product, design, and other teams.
