Responsibilities
- Develop, design, enhance, debug, test, and optimize custom software components using COBOL.
- Analyze complex system requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
- Integrate legacy systems with modern applications and improve software performance and reliability.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, manage team activities, and make decisions for the team.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and contribute to key technical decisions.
- Lead process improvements that enhance team productivity and software quality.
- Mentor junior team members and support their professional development.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of experience in COBOL.
- Proficiency in COBOL, IBM CICS, and IBM Db2.
- Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex system requirements and develop effective software solutions.
- Experience debugging, testing, and optimizing code for performance and reliability.
- Familiarity with integrating legacy systems with modern applications.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
