Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered Salesforce solutions using Agentforce, Einstein AI, Einstein Copilot, and Einstein Bots.
- Build and configure Agentforce agents, including topics, actions, and instructions for complex workflow automation.
- Develop Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce Flows to extend Salesforce AI capabilities.
- Create prompt templates and Prompt Builder configurations for generative AI features.
- Integrate Salesforce with external LLMs and AI/ML platforms through REST and SOAP APIs.
- Collaborate on governed Salesforce Data Cloud pipelines and unified customer profiles for AI personalization and automation.
- Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions and communicate solution options, risks, dependencies, and progress.
- Conduct code reviews, apply Salesforce engineering best practices, and mentor less experienced developers.
- Monitor and optimize AI model performance, agent behavior, automation outcomes, reliability, scalability, and operational resilience in production.
- Evaluate Salesforce AI releases and recommend adoption strategies.
- Lead moderately complex to complex engineering work, guide design decisions, troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to Agile/Scrum planning and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience and at least 4 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, application development, platform engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce Flow.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Einstein AI features and Agentforce agent development or configuration.
- Strong understanding of Prompt Builder and generative AI prompt engineering within Salesforce.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external AI/ML services through REST and SOAP APIs.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud or similar customer data platforms, Salesforce data and security models, and governor limits.
- Experience with Salesforce DX, Git, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Active Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified AI Associate or AI Specialist certification.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce Platform Developer II and Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant certifications; experience with OpenAI GPT, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, vector databases, RAG, embedding models, responsible AI, Salesforce Shield, and large multi-cloud Salesforce organizations; and healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences experience.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, RHCSA, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of software and systems engineering, application architecture, integration patterns, testing, debugging, version control, deployment, performance, reliability, secure design, observability, and production support practices.
- Ability to work independently, exercise technical judgment, influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
