Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the enterprise observability strategy.
- Architect, maintain, and optimize observability frameworks for cloud and on-premises environments.
- Integrate and automate monitoring tools including AWS CloudWatch, Halo ITSM, Apex AIOps, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and Splunk.
- Provide senior-level engineering support for observability platforms and enabling tools.
- Define and track business-aligned KPIs and communicate value to stakeholders.
- Enable self-service observability for engineering teams.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog for observability initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT, Security, Application, and business teams.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy standards.
- Continuously improve observability practices based on feedback and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT Operations, SRE, or similar roles.
- Strong background in observability practices including metrics, tracing, and logging.
- Experience with cloud monitoring and ITOM platforms.
- Understanding of DevOps and automation.
- Experience with product ownership and stakeholder engagement.
- Administration experience with AWS and Azure environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, data pipelines, complex networks, security, compliance, event management, visualization, KPI frameworks, and CMDB integrations.
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, ITIL, or relevant vendor certifications are preferred but not required.
- No licenses or credentials are required.
