Responsibilities

Design, develop, and productionize machine-learning solutions for document understanding, search and QnA, GenAI, and virtual-agent applications.
Develop and maintain Python backend services for AI-driven applications.
Design and implement APIs integrating AI models and services.
Serve as a machine-learning subject matter expert while collaborating with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
Manage the full ML lifecycle, including problem definition, data exploration, feature engineering, training, validation, and deployment.
Participate in code reviews, testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting of AI models, integrations, deployments, and backend services.
Implement telemetry, A/B testing, statistical validation, and automated testing for ML solutions.
Document and communicate development processes, system designs, and architectural decisions.
Maintain the security and compliance of healthcare data in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related quantitative field.
At least 4 years of industry experience focused on developing and deploying machine-learning solutions.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, efficient algorithms, and software quality practices.
Strong Python proficiency and familiarity with PyTorch or comparable machine-learning libraries.
Knowledge of statistical machine learning and artificial intelligence applied to NLP, speech, RAG, virtual agents, or document processing.
Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
Familiarity with OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemma, or other GenAI services, including prompt development and fine-tuning.
Experience with microservices or API-based application architectures.
Strong problem-solving, logical-thinking, collaboration, written communication, and quality-focused skills.
Ability to work across disciplines in a fast-paced startup environment.
