Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain network services, proxies, meshes, libraries, and other traffic infrastructure components.
- Build and improve secure, scalable connectivity, routing, load balancing, ingress, and egress functionality across cloud environments.
- Own software through the full product lifecycle, including design, implementation, and production operation.
- Develop traffic and edge components for large-scale distributed systems handling significant volumes of traffic.
- Design RESTful APIs and gRPC services for internal and external integrations.
- Improve system performance, resource management, scalability, and reliability while collaborating with teams and partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in one or more advanced programming languages such as Go, Java, Rust, C, or C++.
- Experience building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
- Preferred expertise in traffic or edge engineering, cloud networking, Envoy, Istio, DPDK, Kubernetes, packet processing, and public cloud platforms.
- Preferred experience with traffic management patterns including service mesh, service discovery, load balancing, observability, security, and network infrastructure.
- Strong API design, communication, collaboration, performance tuning, resource management, and scalability skills.
