Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Python, FastAPI, and SQLAlchemy.
- Build distributed microservices supporting data processing, automation, and AI system integrations.
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, caching, data pipelines, and synchronization services.
- Integrate backend services with AI model servers, vector databases, automation workflows, Salesforce, SAP, and Workday.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and implement monitoring, logging, authentication, and authorization.
- Deploy and maintain cloud-based services on AWS or GCP in collaboration with DevOps.
- Contribute to testing, documentation, code reviews, backend architecture, and scalable feature delivery.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of backend development experience focused on APIs, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL and data modeling best practices.
- Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub, and asynchronous processing.
- Experience with AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, or Azure Blob Storage.
- Understanding of API authentication, security, and scalability principles.
- Strong debugging, testing, and performance optimization skills.
- Experience integrating AI/ML models into backend systems is a bonus.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures, workflow automation systems, startups, or high-growth technology companies is a bonus.
