Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance automated test frameworks, software tools, and AI-powered testing solutions.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using modern programming languages and tools.
- Automate system integration and verification procedures and execute automated test suites.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and improve testing methodologies, processes, quality, and coverage.
- Investigate and troubleshoot software, hardware, and integration issues with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Set up and maintain software, hardware, and networking test environments.
- Create and execute dry-run tests, support test case development, and identify defects early.
- Provide project updates, technical findings, and status reports to engineering and management.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate BS and/or graduate MS degree, with at least three years of study completed, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with one or more of C#, .NET, Azure, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, Java, JavaScript, Go, or React.
- Experience with source code control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps and with debugging techniques.
- Interest in software quality, test automation, AI technologies, and medical device development.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and learning skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain productive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and business partners.
- Ability to meet the position's minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental requirements with or without accommodation.
Benefits
- Paid 3–6 month Summer 2027 internship.
- Office-based role in San Diego, California, with in-person work at least three days per week.
- Relocation benefits are not provided; candidates must reside in or within commuting distance of San Diego.
- Hourly base pay is listed as $29.00–$36.00 for Bachelor's-level interns and $33.00–$46.00 for Master's-level interns, with overtime eligibility.
