Base Salary
$131k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a group of engineers in developing department standards and best practices for laser interferometry.
- Design and develop embedded software and firmware drivers in C/C++ for precision measurement systems.
- Perform unit-level and system-level testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Maintain released software codebases for long-term reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Integrate software with analog and digital systems in collaboration with hardware and technical teams.
- Develop and maintain Jenkins-based build and test automation pipelines.
- Document software specifications, development processes, test protocols, and results.
- Deliver responsive software solutions that meet current customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and embedded system architecture.
- Familiarity with Unix-based development environments, Git, build systems, and Makefiles.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience with Jenkins, VxWorks RTOS, and C#.
- Preferred: a master’s degree with 4 years of experience or a bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience.
