Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for financial and clinical trial data.
- Develop backend services that expose high-quality financial data to internal systems.
- Implement embedding pipelines and vectorized representations of data for AI workflows.
- Optimize database performance and batch processing jobs for large-scale datasets.
- Participate in architectural decisions regarding data infrastructure and storage strategies.
- Work closely with product managers to translate business requirements into datasets and APIs.
- Contribute to frontend implementations for data-heavy and AI-enabled features.
- Mentor engineers on data modeling, SQL optimization, and building reliable data systems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend and data engineering.
- Deep expertise in SQL and relational database design, including performance tuning.
- Experience building and operating ETL or ELT pipelines using orchestration frameworks.
- Production experience with AI-powered data systems and vector databases.
- A pragmatic approach to full-stack development, including contributions to React codebases.
- Familiarity with data quality validation and monitoring practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
