Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality, testable, scalable SaaS software deployment solutions.
- Collaborate with managers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to meet functional requirements and R&D standards.
- Participate in project scoping and scheduling, track task progress, and alert stakeholders to blockers.
- Maintain accountability for the full code lifecycle, including support for internal and external consumers.
- Follow secure software development policies and processes.
- Support automation, development acceleration, SaaS delivery, and scaling initiatives.
- Participate in open-source projects on behalf of SAS.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related quantitative field.
- Typically eight years of software development or programming experience.
- Strong understanding of deploying and managing SaaS software on AWS and Azure.
- Experience with Terraform, Kustomize, Helm, Bash, Kubernetes, and ECS.
- Extensive experience with GitHub workflows and Actions.
- Knowledge of advanced Git topics, including managing submodules.
- Experience with customer-facing CI/CD SaaS applications, GitOps, and observability.
- Equivalent combinations of related education, training, and experience may substitute for the listed qualifications.
- Strong communication, adaptability, initiative, collaboration, and accountability skills.
