Base Salary
$119k - $207k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, maintainable Python code for scalable software systems.
- Review and advocate for internal coding, style, and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with Full Stack Engineers to deliver new user experiences.
- Improve product quality, security, and performance.
- Optimize distributed systems, AWS services, databases, search infrastructure, APIs, and lower-level architecture components.
- Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers on AI-powered features.
- Design and deploy scalable data infrastructure in a distributed event-driven architecture.
- Prototype and evaluate new technologies and tools.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong experience with Python.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience building user-facing features.
- Familiarity with AWS and its services.
- Experience with production event-driven microservice architectures.
- Experience collaborating on features from concept through release.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Elasticsearch or MongoDB is preferred.
