Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine robot behaviors for external events, demonstrations, and deployments.
  • Write and maintain software for robot demonstrations, including behavior sequencing and control logic.
  • Test behaviors on hardware, iterate quickly, and debug issues in the lab and on site.
  • Support event execution through setup, rehearsals, and live troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deliver reliable demonstrations.

Requirements

  • Be a graduate student pursuing a master’s or PhD in computer science, robotics, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Have strong software engineering skills and proficiency in Python.
  • Have experience applying AI or machine learning, ideally in robotics.
  • Have working knowledge of robotics fundamentals such as control, kinematics, or motion planning.
  • Be able to work hands-on with hardware and iterate quickly under tight timelines.
  • A minimum internship commitment of 10 weeks is required, with one to two terms preferred.

Benefits

  • Fall 2026 internship with a minimum duration of 10 weeks and one to two terms preferred.
  • US base salary of $40-$45 per hour.
  • Additional compensation components or benefits may be available depending on the specific role.
