Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain connectors and data pipelines that ingest industrial-system data into MaintainX.
- Implement backend ingestion, transformation, and storage for high-volume sensor telemetry.
- Build frontend experiences for monitoring device health, managing fleets, and validating operational data.
- Own and improve the reliability, performance, observability, and long-term health of core services and team systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to turn industrial data into intuitive product experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable C#, TypeScript, and React code across backend, on-premise, web, and mobile applications.
- Mentor engineers, review code, contribute to architecture and technical pitches, and improve engineering standards, tooling, and development practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in C# and TypeScript, with production experience in both or strong experience in one and willingness to develop production-quality skills in the other.
- Experience with React, Node.js, and consuming or building GraphQL APIs.
- Experience designing, building, or integrating with REST APIs and understanding versioning, pagination, rate limiting, idempotency, and backward compatibility.
- Experience with relational databases and data modeling for high-throughput, event-driven workloads.
- Ability to write understandable, maintainable, testable code with attention to reliability and observability.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to designers, support, product, and engineering colleagues.
- Preferred experience with MQTT, Sparkplug B, OPC UA, Modbus, Ignition, Kepware, SCADA, historian, or PLC ecosystems.
- Preferred experience building IoT data pipelines involving ingestion, time-series storage, anomaly detection, or device fleet management.
- Preferred experience with on-premise applications or hybrid cloud and edge deployments.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, AWS IoT, Timestream, or SiteWise.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, modern deployment pipelines, and Datadog.
- Preferred experience with LLM-powered production features for extraction, mapping, or summarization.
