Base Salary

$190k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Set and evolve the technical strategy for end-to-end test automation across Heartflow's pipeline.
  • Drive the AI-first approach to test automation, defining adoption and evaluation strategies.
  • Architect and own post-deployment testing capabilities, including production smoke and continuous validation.
  • Design test depth and rigor based on software component safety classifications.
  • Author complex test plans, protocols, and reports, setting standards for the team.
  • Lead tool validation strategy for test infrastructure and automation tooling.
  • Architect and improve UI and mobile automation using Selenium and Playwright.
  • Define API and integration testing standards using various tools.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into verifiable test strategies.
  • Own the technical relationship between requirements management and traceability tooling.
  • Lead root-cause investigations on high-impact issues across distributed systems.
  • Define integration of automated tests into CI/CD for reliable feedback.
  • Serve as a primary technical owner for quality-related audits and regulatory submissions.
  • Mentor engineers and lead technical reviews to enhance quality engineering practices.
  • Help define hiring profiles and lead technical interviews for future hires.
  • Influence cross-functional decisions on quality strategy and tooling investments.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in software test engineering or quality engineering roles.
  • Substantial experience testing Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) or regulated medical software.
  • Deep knowledge of medical device QMS practices and applicable standards.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Selenium and Playwright for automation.
  • Experience designing and maintaining end-to-end automation frameworks.
  • Leadership in adopting AI-assisted testing tools and techniques.
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python, TypeScript, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with API and contract testing approaches.
  • Strong experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills across distributed systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
