Responsibilities
- Break larger projects into tasks, deliver work in multiple phases, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely delivery.
- Design, develop, and launch backend systems and web applications for repayment user journeys.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Create and monitor operational metrics, escalate issues, and support on-call and keep-the-lights-on efforts.
- Navigate large codebases, debug code, write clear and well-tested software, and participate in code reviews.
- Support team growth and development through activities including interviewing.
Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin and experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
- Experience shipping web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Ability to design solutions spanning multiple software components and implement clear, extensible, well-tested code.
- Comfort debugging others’ code and providing constructive feedback through code reviews.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
- Mobile application development and declarative UI framework experience such as React Native is preferred.
