Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend insurance systems such as policy management, claims, underwriting, and CRM applications.
- Design, develop, and document RESTful APIs and integrations.
- Collaborate with frontend teams on Angular feature development and interface integration.
- Perform system analysis, database design, SQL development and debugging, and code reviews.
- Work with business units, project managers, and QA to clarify requirements, test solutions, and deploy releases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an information-related field.
- At least five years of practical Java development experience.
- Strong Java skills and experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs, working with JSON, and integrating web services.
- Experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, including SQL writing and debugging.
- Familiarity with Git and Maven or Gradle.
- Intermediate-or-higher English proficiency for reading technical documentation and API specifications and writing comments and technical documents.
- Insurance or financial-services development experience, Docker, Kubernetes, unit testing, and TDD are preferred qualifications.
