Base Salary
$110k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own bespoke projects end to end, including data models, user interfaces, backend systems, releases, and post-launch support.
- Shape projects before contracts are signed by planning scope, defining work, and agreeing on APIs and integrations with clients.
- Build polished interactive tools such as product configurators, drawing tools, in-store displays, and embedded client-site experiences.
- Build products powered by generative AI and help turn one-off applications into products serving multiple clients.
- Work across applications and services, including code owned by other teams, and modify Kubernetes and Terraform configuration when needed.
- Set up tests, lint rules, and agent instructions that enable AI-assisted code to ship safely.
- Ship weekly, operate software in production, monitor user adoption, and maintain quality through code review and documented decisions.
- Mentor teammates, provide guidance and support, and participate in hiring.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience building scalable systems.
- A computer science degree or distinctive equivalent software-development experience.
- Strong TypeScript, React, and Next.js experience, including modern React rendering and server-versus-client components.
- Full-stack experience with SQL schema design and server-side TypeScript; Python and Django are a plus.
- Strong UI sensibility, confidence contributing design ideas, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong execution, communication, quality, and long-term product focus.
- Daily experience using AI coding tools, reviewing their output, and building supporting harnesses.
- Comfort working with Kubernetes and Terraform configuration.
- Demonstrated ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and support, plus a leadership mindset and consistent delivery.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
