Responsibilities
- Design, build, integrate, and test reusable software components across the AI architecture.
- Design agent architectures and orchestration patterns covering prompts, tools, skills, memory, handoffs, state management, communication, and error recovery.
- Evaluate technical approaches and frameworks against capability, cost, performance, and enterprise reliability requirements.
- Build evaluation strategies and harnesses measuring agent and system accuracy, relevance, faithfulness, and quality.
- Architect foundation-model integrations using fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, and custom model integration approaches.
- Design model adaptation and fine-tuning pipelines using knowledge of transformer-based architectures.
- Build context graphs, ingestion pipelines, embeddings, vector storage, semantic and hybrid retrieval, reranking, and end-to-end RAG systems.
- Design context assembly and memory components for prompts, context windows, and conversational state.
- Optimize inference, caching, resource utilization, latency, throughput, and cost.
- Implement guardrails, prompt-injection defenses, PII handling, access controls, governance controls, audit logging, versioning, and lineage tracking.
- Build logging, tracing, monitoring, alerting, and cost tracking into production AI systems.
- Produce ADRs, architecture blueprints, design documents, orchestration specifications, integration specifications, component diagrams, and data flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with data engineers, ML engineers, application developers, and stakeholders on client delivery teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Proven experience designing and deploying enterprise-grade advanced AI solutions using agentic, generative, and classical AI/ML with at least one cloud vendor.
- Practical experience in agentic AI, LLM, and generative AI.
- Professional working experience coding engineering, machine learning, deep learning, and NLP solutions and applications.
- Strong Python coding ability.
- Solid foundation in architecting and operationalizing LLM-driven application architecture patterns.
- Several years of hands-on industry experience as a machine learning architect designing big data, machine learning, and large-scale analytical engineering solutions.
