Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, high-performance backend features and core services at scale.
- Build and scale systems supporting global commerce, payments, issuing platforms, money ledgers, policy management, admin controls, and accounting integrations.
- Own features end to end from design and development through deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support.
- Address large-scale engineering challenges involving reliability, performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and business leaders across global teams.
- Promote best practices in code quality, documentation, monitoring, testing, and technical excellence.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience building and scaling complex systems in fast-paced, high-growth, or large-scale environments; exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, including a strong understanding of JVM performance and optimization.
- Experience leveraging AI models and AI-driven development to build intelligent features and improve engineering productivity.
- Strong experience with distributed systems, microservices, API design, and AWS or another cloud platform.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining consumer-facing or core business products at scale.
- Track record of delivering production-quality, maintainable code and supporting features after release.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Fintech or payment processing experience and familiarity with expenses, payments, ERP, tax, or similarly high-stakes data are preferred.
