Responsibilities
- Design backend systems for complex billing and energy-market workflows.
- Scale core infrastructure for growing transaction volumes and market demands.
- Ship features and improvements through rapid iteration.
- Contribute to code reviews, architecture decisions, and mentorship.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on backend engineering experience, including recent production coding and shipping.
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills, including asynchronous programming.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and ORM-based data access such as Drizzle or similar tools.
- Experience building backend services with Next.js, including API routes or server components.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and scalable, maintainable service design.
- Strong computer science fundamentals gained through formal education or equivalent practical experience.
- Evidence of exceptional technical ability through notable projects, research, competition results, founding work, or comparable achievements.
- Fluency in German at C1 level or higher.
- Experience integrating Stripe payments and billing workflows is helpful.
