Base Salary
$160k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own complex features and systems end to end, from architecture and implementation through deployment and observability.
- Design and evolve AI-native services that embed LLMs and reasoning capabilities into product workflows.
- Build, test, deploy, and maintain backend services, REST and GraphQL APIs, and core data infrastructure.
- Build user-facing features connecting frontend interfaces with backend systems.
- Integrate AI and LLM capabilities into backend pipelines and product logic.
- Architect secure, highly performant, scalable enterprise services with monitoring and observability.
- Improve internal tooling, deployment pipelines, and automated testing practices.
- Partner with product, design, data, frontend, and infrastructure teams.
- Build systems with enterprise-grade security and compliance, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001 considerations.
Requirements
- Strong background in backend systems, API design, and production SaaS environments.
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, Go, Rust, or C++.
- Experience designing distributed systems.
- Familiarity with React, Vue, or Angular and the ability to build or iterate on UI components.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases and ideally graph databases.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Docker or Kubernetes; and Terraform.
- Pragmatic, product-driven approach suited to a high-velocity startup environment.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM features or working with enterprise workflow systems is a bonus.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, high-throughput or low-latency systems, open-source contributions, or a strong technical portfolio is advantageous.
