Responsibilities
- Build and maintain versioned feature engineering pipelines for engineering, sensor, and operational data.
- Design and operate data quality checks for completeness, schema consistency, distribution stability, and label accuracy.
- Implement data versioning, lineage tracking, reproducible training datasets, and deployment-data drift detection.
- Implement data contracts, access controls, and retention practices under established governance guidance.
- Contribute to real-time sensor-data ingestion and progressively assume operational ownership over 6–12 months.
- Build infrastructure supporting synthetic data generation, including ingestion, storage, and versioning.
- Maintain the training dataset registry, feature store, and model input validation integrated with the AI platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in AI, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field; an AI major is preferred.
- Fresh to 1 year of experience, with end-to-end data pipeline project experience from academic, personal, or internship contexts accepted.
- Strong, demonstrable Python and SQL proficiency, including complex queries, window functions, and data transformation logic.
- Knowledge of scalable batch pipeline architecture, reliability, schema management, fault tolerance, and pipeline orchestration.
- Understanding of data quality checks, data versioning, lineage, ML data lifecycles, train/test leakage, and label-quality impacts on model accuracy.
- Preferred experience with Feast, Tecton, VAE, GANs, diffusion models, dbt, DLT, Label Studio, CVAT, MES/LIMS integration, active learning loops, Iceberg, Dremio, AWS Glue, AWS Lake Formation, or Redshift.
