Responsibilities

  • Perform application security and architecture reviews across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Define application security requirements, conduct threat modeling, and manage or oversee application penetration tests focused on OWASP.
  • Review and update security baselines in response to evolving threats, standards, and organizational needs.
  • Establish security principles, policies, governance processes, and a secure development lifecycle framework.
  • Identify and resolve vulnerabilities through static and dynamic code analysis, security scanning, and investigation of security reports.
  • Work with incident response teams on application security issues and incidents.
  • Lead implementation of strategic security initiatives and advise on tradeoffs between security and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, IT, business, Governance, Risk and Compliance, and other teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in cloud applications, cybersecurity, or related domains.
  • Strong experience performing threat modeling and security reviews.
  • Hands-on experience with white-box, gray-box, and black-box assessments or oversight of application penetration tests focused on OWASP.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience working with IT and non-IT teams across various disciplines.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and provide security advice aligned with business outcomes.
  • Expert knowledge of zero trust, identity, threat detection, threat modeling, and security practices.
  • Preferred certifications include CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and ability to learn new technologies in complex deployments.
