Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, support, and maintain strategic applications supporting Investment Banking.
- Design and develop distributed applications, APIs, automation frameworks, and data integration solutions.
- Lead engineering initiatives to improve system reliability, automation, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Drive application modernization through cloud technologies, CI/CD practices, and software engineering best practices.
- Improve system observability, monitoring, performance, and operational support capabilities.
- Perform root-cause analysis for production issues and implement long-term stability and resilience improvements.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technology standards.
- Mentor team members and provide technical leadership across development initiatives.
- Collaborate with bankers, business stakeholders, project managers, and technology teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on development experience in Python and SQL.
- Experience designing and developing scalable distributed systems and enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design principles, and application reliability.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and software delivery processes.
- Experience supporting production environments and mission-critical business applications.
- Experience with cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and drive technical solutions from concept through delivery.
- Preferred experience includes Investment Banking, financial services, regulated environments, SRE, Production Engineering, Platform Engineering, containerization, orchestration, monitoring, observability, messaging technologies, and highly available systems.
- Preferred bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Preferred experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring software engineers.
