Base Salary
$54k - $206k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable back-end services, APIs, and microservices.
- Build secure, reliable systems supporting enterprise learning and administration workflows.
- Own technical solutions from initial design through production deployment and ongoing operation.
- Build and maintain integrations with enterprise platforms, partner systems, and external services.
- Design relational data models and work with production databases.
- Develop and operate containerized applications in cloud environments.
- Build and maintain automated testing, CI/CD, deployment, and observability practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system resilience, availability, performance, and maintainability.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for implementation, investigation, testing, and technical analysis while maintaining engineering quality standards.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to engineering standards, development practices, and platform architecture improvements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience in a product-oriented, live production environment.
- At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining back-end services and microservices using Go, Node.js/TypeScript, or Python, with REST and/or GraphQL APIs, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and scalable distributed systems.
- At least 3 years of experience with AWS or another major public cloud platform, including hands-on Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD experience.
- At least 2 years of experience developing or supporting enterprise SaaS products or platforms, including authentication, application security, integrations, and production troubleshooting.
- At least 1 year of experience using AI-assisted software development tools for coding, debugging, investigation, testing, or code review.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience of at least 12 years; an associate degree requires at least 6 years of work experience.
- Ability to independently drive technical work from requirements and design through production delivery.
- Ability to collaborate across technical and cross-functional teams and communicate technical decisions clearly.
- Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
