Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and manage cloud applications on SAP BTP across platform administration, solution design, frontend development, and backend development.
- Develop Node.js backend services, APIs, CRUD operations, business logic, validations, and service exposure for frontend applications.
- Build responsive SAPUI5 interfaces using XML views, controllers, and the MVC approach.
- Design database artifacts and data models and connect applications to SAP HANA persistence patterns.
- Configure BTP subaccounts, service instances, roles, connectivity artifacts, and destinations for external integrations.
- Package and deploy applications using multi-target application (MTA) deployment artifacts.
- Implement agentic AI features including LLM tool calling, orchestration, memory and state handling, retrieval-grounded generation, fallback behaviors, and safe action boundaries.
- Create offline and online evaluation loops to monitor AI behavior and detect regressions.
- Use Git-based workflows, debug full-stack issues, and resolve backend, database, and service-exposure problems.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of professional experience.
- Hands-on SAP BTP application development spanning platform architecture, administration basics, solution design, and frontend/backend implementation.
- Experience building backend services, APIs, data models, and integrated user interfaces.
- Experience with Node.js service patterns, SAPUI5, SAP HANA persistence, and BTP deployment practices.
- Ability to build LLM-integrated and retrieval-grounded applications with tool calling, orchestration, evaluation, and safety controls.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, testing, source control, and production hardening.
- Familiarity with SAP Business Application Studio and BTP application development learning or enablement materials.
- Minimum 15 years of full-time education.
