Responsibilities
- Design and maintain manual and automated end-to-end test strategies for front-end applications and back-end APIs.
- Build and maintain automated test suites using the Cucumber BDD framework.
- Perform API testing with Postman, including contract, authentication, error-handling, and performance validation.
- Test front-end applications across browsers and devices.
- Integrate automated tests into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Test big data projects by validating data integrity, pipeline outputs, and query results.
- Conduct performance and load testing and help resolve identified bottlenecks.
- Write SQL queries to validate database accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Manage defects, test cases, and QA documentation using Jira.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, data engineers, and other teams in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional QA engineering experience covering manual and automated end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on experience with Cucumber BDD and automated test suite development.
- Experience testing back-end APIs with Postman or equivalent tools, including REST API validation and contract testing.
- Experience testing applications integrated with SAP.
- Experience with front-end functional, regression, and cross-browser testing.
- Hands-on experience with GCP services, particularly data pipelines and BigQuery datasets.
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Proficiency with Jira for test management and defect tracking.
- Working knowledge of SQL for database-level validation.
- Familiarity with Java sufficient to read and contribute to automated test code.
- Preferred experience includes SAP or similar enterprise systems, JMeter, k6, Gatling, big data projects, Pact, OpenAPI-based validation, DevOps practices, and Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
- Strong organizational, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and defect-documentation skills.
