Base Salary
$171k - $264k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop highly reliable embedded software.
- Integrate vendor components into a common software framework using low-level communication interfaces.
- Implement RTOS applications for the product.
- Drive custom in-vehicle infotainment device solutions.
- Implement and maintain embedded AOSP development, HAL customization, Android middleware, and related security practices.
- Develop and customize Linux-based Android services, embedded services, and Android applications across Android versions and devices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to bring up custom software on new devices, productionize it, and maintain company products.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working on embedded devices.
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong embedded software development experience using C, C++, and assembly languages.
- Hands-on experience with Android Board Support Package, Android middleware, HAL customization, and maintenance.
- Advanced software debugging skills, including low-level hardware debugging, Android native crashes, system crashes, drivers, HAL, libraries, and framework components.
- Experience developing complex embedded systems and custom SoCs with peripheral interfaces including UART, SPI, CSI-2, I2C, GPIO, USB, and PCIe.
- Prior on-vehicle technology experience is preferred.
- Experience with safety-critical robotic systems and real-time constraints is preferred.
- Embedded systems testing experience and experience enhancing automated test frameworks are preferred.
- Experience creating Android device builds, supporting Android system development, RTOS and middleware applications, and maintaining Linux services under SELinux is preferred.
- Ability to design, integrate, and deliver production code within aggressive timelines is preferred.
